Keep Running with Us Program
UT San Antonio offers a streamlined admission program to retain current highly qualified UT San Antonio students and alumni.
The Keep Running with Us (KRWU) Graduate Admission Program allows Graduate Faculty and Graduate Faculty Scholars to recommend outstanding UT San Antonio undergraduate and graduate students for admission. This encourages students with excellent academic records to remain at UT San Antonio for their graduate education. Graduate program faculty and staff may nominate and invite outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to apply for a participating master’s degree program. Participating degree programs may have specific criteria for eligibility.
Outstanding undergraduate candidates in their junior or senior year may be extended an offer of admission, conditional upon completion of their baccalaureate degree from UT San Antonio in the area of nomination. All test scores and supplemental documentation are waived during the application process, resulting in a streamlined application that helps fast-track the recommended students through the admission process. However, program faculty maintain full discretion in determining which students are invited to apply.
Exceptional graduate candidates in their last 12 hours of study may be extended an offer of admission, conditional upon completion of the master’s degree from UT San Antonio.
Exceptional graduate certificate candidates may be extended an offer of admission, conditional upon completion of their graduate certificate from UT San Antonio in the area of nomination.
Students nominated to approved accelerated or integrated programs may also be considered for admission under the Keep Running with Us Program. These students must be formally vetted and approved by the academic department or program offering the accelerated option prior to nomination. Eligibility, review procedures, and required approvals are determined by the participating department.
Recommendations and invitations are selective and based on academic performance, faculty assessment, and program capacity. Meeting minimum eligibility requirements does not guarantee an invitation.
Graduate Classifications and Requirements
Classifications of graduate admission require approval by the Dean of the Graduate School, the administrative officer responsible for graduate education. The criteria for the various classifications of admission to UT San Antonio are set forth in the admission section.
